The Cee Lo Green song is the one you think it was. It was not listed in the Carnegie Hall program, nor were the lyrics were provided. It says something about Gabriel Kahane that the song felt more lived-in than did its predecessor, a Schumann lied, but I'm not sure precisely what.

Not that you'd have known it if you only read this review on the web, but I made a bone-headed error that found its way into print on Sunday: Kol Nidre, the barely acknowledged but lovely third piece on this new CD, was composed by Max Bruch – not, as I wrote without double-checking, by Ernest Bloch, whose big, Romantic, Jewish-themed piece for cello and orchestra was of course Schelomo.

As of Tuesday, Oct. 30, you can find this disc in your local store, assuming you've got one. You can also order it online from Amazon or ArkivMusic; or download it at iTunes.

Like the lede says, there are few things in life or art more reliable than the excellence of a concert by the eminent conductor William Christie and Les Arts Florissants. This one, an all-Charpentier affair presented as part of Lincoln Center's White Light Festival, was no exception. It also served to whet the appetite for the ensemble's performances of Charpentier's opera David et Jonathas at BAM next March, which my colleague Zachary Woolfe reviewed at the Aix-en-Provence Festival in July.

While you're poking around the Times site, here are two more tangentally related articles you won't want to miss: Steven Erlanger's vivid Saturday feature about Mr. Christie opening his opulent French garden to the public; and George Loomis's International Herald Tribune review of Charpentier's opera Médée, newly staged at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and conducted by Emmanuelle Haïm, one of Mr. Christie's illustrious protégés.

My only Times review so far to include Eddie Vedder and Zooey Deschanel in the lede graf. (Felt good to sneak in a Buke and Gase mention, too.) I went into this one slightly skeptical, despite a vivid review by Allan Kozinn of the ensemble's 2010 Zankel Hall concert, but came out a convert: The show is a pop-savant's delight, with nostalgic kicks for multiple generations. The medley in the video I've embedded below is a great demonstration of what the ensemble is about.

Pretty much explains itself, except to say that I was surprised, in my first time seeing Mr. Keillor perform live, by just how little eye contact he makes with the audience, instead directing most of his songs and stories to his colleagues onstage (and even singing with his back turned to the seats). No judgement implied, just a curious observation.

Oh, and that reference to "criticism on Facebook" regarding Mr. Keillor's singing? Or "whinging," as I wrote in the original draft? That was a reference to this.
